Wieder & Wider
Wieder & Wider (Again & Against) is a project looking for sustainable approaches to fashion through creative use and reuse of resources. They offer weekly sewing classes in English that teach you to create your own sustainable wardrobe. You learn to create from scratch, new, timeless pieces, to repair and restyle the clothes that lay untouched in your closet or to upcycle what you no longer use into cool bags and accessories. Introduction to Fabrics & Sewing
This introductory class is the foundation you need in order to start making your own clothes and accessories. Learn about fabrics and their properties, how to take correct body measurements, understand the sewing machine and all its functions and practice the most used types of stitches. Repairs, Alterations & Upcycling
Learn a set of useful basic sewing techniques by developing two simple and chic accessories: a zipper pouch and a bag which we can personalize for different uses: as make-up pouch, as fanny pack, as party clutch, as oversized day to day bag, or as backpack. Make Your Own Skirt (new or upcycled)
Get familiar with basic clothes making and fitting techniques, by creating a flattering item: an all-time A-line skirt tailored to your body (you can choose to create a new skirt or to upcycle an existing skirt/dress). €155 / more info & book
Learn to Sew a Kimono
Get familiar with basic pattern work notions and sewing techniques, by creating a unisex, size-flexible kimono blouse (you can choose to personalize your kimono into a blazer, a blouse or a kimono-dress). €175 / more info & book
